Reporting to the brands General Manager and managing you will be working in a multi-cultural team with sound IT and a commercial infrastructure. You will be responsible for planning, projecting and identifying the requirements of the Brands product line, negotiating to purchase at optimum cost and maximise profit. This will involve:
Planning and monitoring the selection of range, type, quantity and quality of merchandise
Analysing trends, review performance indicators
Managing stock levels and flow of distribution
Supporting store promotions with stock and analysing results of marketing

Team management
Driving strategy
Maximising profits and sales of the brand through effective management of stock, including cover, options, allocations and margin analysis.

Heading up the Womenswear buying team, you will be responsible for a large team of mainly already established buyers and designers, formulating and achieving range and sales plans for the main commercial brand and it’s off-shoots.
You will have a strategic role with the brands that will involve:
• Ensuring bottom line sales and margin targets are reached
• Range building
• Colour and trend forecasting
• Creating critical paths for seasonal collections
• Ensuring range plans and price architectures are delivered on time, and to company strategy
• Identifying weaknesses and opportunities in the market
• Coach and develop your team both on the job and through the use of external training providers
To apply you must have experience of the womenswear European market with a fast paced, high street product. This must include proven experience in the position of Senior Buyer or as a Buyer who is demonstrably ready for promotion. In interview we will be exploring your experience in supply chain and logistics, range building experience and knowledge of colour and trend forecasting.
The Buying Manager position will be for a 2 year period with the scope for renewal after this time. You will be working with other ex pats as well as local people so a knowledge of the Turkish language is not essential.
Istanbul offers a cosmopolitan lifestyle in a more sophisticated retail environment than the UK has. Healthcare is good, cost of living is comparable to the UK, and accommodation often offers the facility of a pool. Head office location also means there is the potential to live by the sea.
