Established women's high street retailer seeks a Designer to cover Formal Tops for a 6 months maternity cover position. You will possess a strong understanding of the design process from concept to end product. The ideal candidate will have a strong eye for design and be able to create dynamic and innovative fashionable collections.
Key responsibilities:
* Research, select and develop new fabrics, trims etc
* Design mood boards and colour palettes
* Plan and create ranges and presenting ranges to buyers
* Manage development of appropriate product and sampling with critical path deadlines
* Create technical packs and making sure all suppliers have relevant information
* Attend regular fit sessions
* Competitive shopping, keeping up to date on market trends
* Some international travel maybe required
You must possess strong garment construction knowledge and be proficient in Adobe Photoshop & Illustrator and be able to work within a fast paced and demanding environment.
