Friendly small supplier seeks a Wholesale Merchandiser to join their team to work on women’s and childrenswear. You will be responsible for managing several successful high street accounts, together with possible occasional overseas travel. Experience of working with jersey fabrics is required along with a good understanding of garment construction.
The role:
• Following production from order placement through to customer delivery
• Managing and maintaining the critical path
• Liaising daily with suppliers in Turkey
• Working closely with high street buyers and sales teams
• Attending fit meetings and making comments
• Submitting lab dips, bulk fabrics, trims etc for customer approvals
• Price and delivery date negotiations
• Raising purchase orders, checking invoices and requesting and checking test reports
The ideal candidate will come from a fashion background, possess good admin and communication skills, be able to solve problems and be passionate, creative and a team player.

Maintain continuous communication with the customers and with the company H/O.
Ensure appropriate training and development of operators and staff across the business.
This senior management position will suit a person with extensive clothing manufacturing experience. You will need to have held full responsibility for a large manufacturing plant and have a consistent track record of achieving objectives . Ideally you will have previous experience of working within South East Asia . Fluent English is required.
