A successful supplier of table top merchandise to major UK retailers.
You will have the opportunity to manage retail accounts and to develop new product in line with their requirements.
You will need to have good commercial and creative skills and have the ability to develop good ongoing business relationships with the buyers. You will be working to price points and will therefore need a good understanding of what can be realistically achieved for the retailer and will still ensure a good profit margin for the company. There will naturally be a lot of supplier liaison especially in the Far East.
It is anticipated that you will be educated to Degree level and will have experience of developing product and also of managing retail accounts . You will certainly need to have worked with home ware items or gift products. The ability to work in a fast paced environment is important and your knowledge of working with suppliers in the Far East will also be beneficial.

This is a maternity cover position for approximately 9 months and one which is within the museum sector.

You will work closely with a merchandiser and will manage a small team.
The position will suit a person with good retail experience this could be with a museum or gallery or for a multiple retailer.
You will need several years commercial experience and have the ability to organise and manage time frames exceptionally well. Experience of developing as well as selecting product is required.
